In Cold Blood: A True Account of a Multiple Murder and Its Consequences by Truman Capote

For this assignment, you will produce 100 post-it notes that include commentary which draws from the reading strategies from the “WAYS TO ANALYZE FICTION” handout (you can find it in google docs.)

You will need to be complete ½ this assignment before you leave for winter break. You will turn in your book (with post-its) or Reader’s Notebook on January 3rd and answer a question 3 prompt in class.

For posterity, post a comment as to which book you are choosing to read and why.

Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert because I hate cheaters and liars & I would love to see how she felt and the way she handled it. Everyone handles a situation differently.

I like to read The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri, because i think whole idea of fiction was someone can get out of there own society, and create a some think unbound imagination on other life. i want to see how London author Jhumpa Lahiri can create a imagination of Indian family, who immigrant in USA from Calcutta.

The book I chose to read is " A Lesson Before Dying" by Ernest J. Gaines. From reading the little information about it, it seems interesting. It seems like something I would actually enjoy reading.

The book that i choose is The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri because it seems interesting to me and it's about Indian immigrant and i'd like to learn a little bit about the Indian culture
